WEALDPARK LIMITED Precision Repetition Engineers

Mitsubishi Materials will have a strong presence at this year’s EMO exhibition with a large booth in Hall 5 at stand C18. New Products and a Mixed Reality Brand Experience!

Initially, 5-axis machining centres in Okuma’s MU-V series and the MULTUS series of multitasking turn-milling machines will be equipped with the new machine control. NCMT, the sales agent for Okuma in the UK and Ireland, advises that this latest CNC system has twice the computing power of conventional machine controls, shortening cycle times by up to 15 percent. It is particularly well suited to high- speed machining applications for achieving top quality surface finishes. The control is equipped with an on-machine Digital Twin to facilitate high-precision simulation of machining processes, reducing set-up times and speeding production. By performing these simulations on the machine itself, production can start immediately afterwards. Alternatively, with Digital Twin on a PC, simulation can be carried out offline while production is in progress on the machine. Even inexperienced users benefit from the advantages of the control due to its user- friendly interface. Okuma to launch next- generation control in its 125th year A new CNC system, the OSP-P500, will be launched by Japanese machine tool builder Okuma on stand B36 in hall 15 at the EMO 2023. The smart machine control, which is manufactured in- house, combines highly productive and precise machining with ease of use, energy efficiency and safety features to protect against cyber attacks.

Latest range of CNC sliding and fixed head lathes, with bar capacity up to 65mm and vertical machining centres. This enables us to offer precision engineering to the most exacting standards with quick turnaround times. Components can be manufactured from a wide range of materials including steel, brass, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, phosphor bronze and plastics We produce machined components for a growing range of users spanning the aviation, military, electrical, automotive, fluid power and other high-spec industries

Visitors will, as always, find the latest generation high tech tooling. Mitsubishi’s friendly local and international experienced sales and technical engineering team will be on hand to answer any questions surrounding solutions to metal cutting problems. A dedicated section of the stand will be showing the latest mixed reality technology. Here visitors will be able to virtually interact with the DIAEGDE brand tooling and see how they can provide solutions and the most up to date processes that optimise production. On display on the stand will be cutting tools and bodies highlighting next generation technology in carbide substrates, advanced geometries and state-of-the-art coatings. The automotive sector displays will feature the new MC5100 series of inserts for high efficiency turning of cast iron. An explanation of the benefits of the new coating for this innovative grade, featuring SUB-Grip coating technology that prevents peeling during high feed machining will be shown. Also in the automotive sector, other coated

grades and CBN inserts for steel machining can be viewed alongside actual components that have been machined using Mitsubishi tools. Other industrial sectors, Aerospace and Medical will also have a strong emphasis on up to date cutting tools and actual machined components. This theme will demonstrate real examples that visitors can relate to in their industry. Featured in the Aerospace area will be the new screw-in type AXD400 as an addition to the AXD series for high metal removal rates when machining aluminium alloys. This new tool for aluminium is complemented by tools dedicated to machining the completely opposite material spectrum of titanium alloys and other heat resistant super alloys that are commonly used in aero engines. Amongst these are the VQ Smart Miracle solid carbide end mills that are specifically designed for long tool life when cutting tough heat resistant super alloys. A lounge will be available for visitors to discuss their
